Designing the 'Complete a tax check for a taxi, private hire or scrap metal licence' service

The hidden economy in the UK produces a significant shortfall to HMRC. The aim of this project was to try and mitigate the shortfall by implementing a service which fills this gap and try's to mitigate the affect on tax revenue and to HMRC. Taxi licences are the first licences to be checked for tax liability but other licences have followed in and years .It was a 2 year project and was released to the public in Apr 2022

I was involved in this from the beginning of the alpha phase onwards for the year long project to make sure taxi drivers were paying their due tax. As the sole designer I developed the user flows for the main journey, documentation, confluence governance along with prototyping in HTML,CSS and Javascript. Further to working closely alongside content and UR I communicated with stakeholders and Civil Servants to agree upon with further design changes. I can show more detailed user flows and and design process on interview.
