Developing a Smith and Nephew enterprise design system and redesigning the rebates process
Smith and Nephew are the largest supplier of medical massage and rehabilitation equipment in the world (they supply the NHS and private sector) although S+N is a UK listed company this was a US based engagement. The reason for my hiring for was 3 fold, in creating a new service and UX design for the customer rebates process, designing a new enterprise wide digital design system of which to hold all new services going forward and designing the UI for the screens.
Once the design system was complete and a framework and flow were created the next step was to create the UI for the screens. The screens were divided into 4 sections. Front page, Rebates homepage flow, Quote document flow and Contract listing pages.
I was only given 6 weeks for the project, this meant very efficient and smooth communication with stakeholders, prioritising time with them to focus on the key projects goals, of course there was still time for bonding and getting on board and enjoying time with the team. Also managing the dev team and they're implementation was also part of my responsibilities to impress the 3 main stakeholders
